I invited Sunni to lead a restorative sound journey for myself and some friends in my home. She arrived with an assortment of hand crafted tinctures + teas to sip on while we arranged ourselves on our mats — Sunni thought of everything. Once her instruments were carefully arranged, she began centering us with gentle warming movements before commencing on our sound journey. Restorative yoga — for those who have never tried it — is essentially holding a pose utilizing props in a manner that allows you settle in, to sink in + stay in that pose for a length of time. While in the pose you are serenaded with the hauntingly ethereal vibrations echoing of crystal bowls and a bevy of other instruments throughout the session as we deepen in and out of a series of poses. Sunni brings us into our final resting pose with her incredibly beautiful voice — not a dry eye in the room!
